Lucinda Dilworth
Artificial Impression is a curated exploration by Lucinda Dilworth that delves into how digital identity intersects with themes of surveillance and perception.
Featuring 18 animated pieces, each work invites viewers to engage with the nuances of their digital selves. The immersive environment encourages reflection on Orwellian concepts, drawing parallels to contemporary technology's role in shaping our identities.
Projection Mapping and User-Friendly Setup:
Projection mapping was essential in crafting an immersive environment for the exhibition, allowing for precise control of visual output. A dedicated computer streamlined the daily setup, enabling the gallery owner to effortlessly power on the projectors. With remote connectivity, any technical issues could be addressed promptly, ensuring smooth operations.
The collection featured 18 unique art pieces, each animated to engage the audience in a thought-provoking experience.
Technical Innovations
Employing six Optoma HD29HST projectors controlled by the Datapath FX4, the artist effectively covered a 3m high wall. Challenges included pixelation from short-throw projections and visual blending. The Datapath FX4 was instrumental in managing the six outputs, enhancing the exhibition's technical execution.
